2024 UPDATE
Boogity, boogity, boogity…let’s go racin’ Street Stockers! It’s time to gear up for a long-awaited full race season of thrills and excitement for all. Thunder Mountain, Hythe, and Goldpan Speedway, we’re coming at you!
We welcome back Finish Line Race Products and thank you for their continued support. To WFO Contracting and Bob Lowen’s Transmissions we thank you for once again sponsoring the Fast Time and Lucky Dog Awards at each race event. As well, each club has agreed to provide their annual contribution towards the points fund.
Drivers planning to compete in this series will be responsible for completing a 2024 TriCity Registration form before Race #1 in Williams Lake – email Lynn at dundeal@shaw.ca or hit her up on Messenger and request your forms as soon as possible. Transponders and Race-ceivers will be used at all races and can be rented at each event. All moneys raised will go towards advertising and the points fund, financial records available upon request.
TRI-CITY RUNNING RULES and AGREEMENT
With exceptional racing and positive feedback from racers and fans, we are excited to keep our race format the same.
2024 TRI-CITY CORE RUNNING RULES
1. Weight will be a minimum 3100 lbs. including driver, coming off the track after the main event. No Allowances for Fuel Loss. Left weight rule is 55% with driver belted in 47% rear maximum. *Weight rule is enforced ALL Day.
2. Ontario based street stocks are welcome to race in this series.
3. Tri-City cars will run on either the Hoosier 970 series tire, or the American Racer P265 street stock tire.
4 new tires will be allowed at each race. No mixing of tires will be allowed; all 4 tires must be of the same manufacturer and compound.
4. Motors will have a Rochester 2-barrel Carburetor for all manufacturers on a stock 2- barrel cast iron intake manifold.

SCH-115 67-69 CAMARO/68-74 CHEVY2-NOVA * 1.625" PRIMARIES, 3.0" COLLECTOR.
One tube on the right side can be altered to clear upper A-arm.
5. Crate motors will be allowed but must follow the specific rules listed below.
6. Minimum 6-inch ground clearance to bottom of frame rail. Camaro’s measured at the door sill. Secondary point of reference of 4” where the sub-frame would meet the floor.
7. Cars must register at the WL race date and pay the $50 registration fee to be eligible for championship points.
8. All other rules will be as per each driver’s club membership’s rule book, which they must be able to produce at the discretion of the tech man. No club = No racing. Mystery Tech. Envelopes will be used after the main events.

11. Minimum 6-inch ground clearance to bottom of frame rail with the driver in the car. This can be checked at any point throughout the day.
12. No use of radios at any time. Drivers will run a race-ceiver with communication from the track officials.
13. All other rules will be per each driver’s club membership’s rule book, they must be able to produce at the discretion of the tech man. Mystery tech envelopes will be used after the Main event.
NEXT GEN STREET STOCK
TRI-CITY STREET STOCK CAR CRATE MOTOR RULES UPDATED 2024
The GM 602 part #88958602 steel headed crate motor is the only crate motor allowed.
• The following components must be used on the crate motor: -Holley 01-80541-1 650 cfm crate motor carburetor.
• New for the 2024 season crate motors will not have to run restrictor plates – with the exception of the Ontario-based Next Gen Street Stocks.

TRI-CITIES SCORING TIME
TRIAL POINTS:
Number of cars will determine the total number of points for qualifying. The fastest qualifier will receive the same number of points as there are cars. Others will receive one point diminishing as per qualifying time.
QUALIFIER RACES:
The top 4 even numbered qualifying positions will start at the back of the A Qualifier race. The top 4 odd numbered qualifying positions will start at the back of the B Qualifier race. All other starting positions will be filled by means of a random draw. These qualifier races lap amounts will be determined by car count. They will also determine starting positions for the main event. There will be no points awarded for the qualifier races. The finishing order of the qualifying races will be inverted to set the field for the main event.
MAINS:
1st – 10 points + passing points
2nd – 9 points + passing points
3rd – 8 points + passing points
4th – 7 points + passing points
5th – 6 points + passing points
6th – 5 points + passing points
7th – 4 points + passing points
8th – 3 points + passing points
9th – 2 points + passing points
10th – 1 point + passing points.
All other cars will receive 1 point for starting and 1 point for finishing + passing points.
